Formed from the ashes of several projects that were destroyed or abandoned Nick Dire is the brainchild of photographer, filmmaker, and rapper Adam Waltner.

He grew up in Denver and was an original member of Short Bus. A collective that comprised some of the cities best emcees. Moving to NYC in his twenties to pursue filmmaking, Nick spent over a decade working as a photographer and filmmaker before returning to rap music in 2016 with his breakout mixtape "Ignition."

Dire's lyrics portray dark and often hidden sides of life. His songs are melodic, dark, and deeply personal.

Alternating between harshness and beauty, listening to his music is like driving through a Noir film where the characters are corrupt, sexy, and all die in the end.
